Windows Update Installation?

Greetings! Can someone please explain to me why Windows
Update scanning my system shows I need to install
Security Update for Windows XP (KB8810217) when in fact
my Installation History shows that this update was
successfully installed??? As a check, though my History
showed the Update already installed, I installed it again
this morning; the installation was successful; and indeed
showed up in the Installation History as having been
installed successfully. So now my history shows KB8810217
installed 2 times successfully. I shut down and rebooted.
Ran Windows Update scan again: it still is indicating
that I need to install the Critical Update KB8810217!!!
What's going on???

Prevent Windows Update from prompting you to install a Hotfix
you know is already installed.
