problem with 24-in-1 card reader

Hi Everyone,
I have tried to hook up many devices, not all at once, that are mass storage
devices like travel drives, digital cameras, and recently a 24-in-1 card
reader each time it says it cant find a driver for the devices and cant
access the device. Now the card reader says its xp compatible and does not
require a download for the driver. and i have went to the manufactures
website just to see if they did have one. of course they didnt. I am at my
wits in on this one. My computer sees the device but just cant get it to
work.. please help me.
