Hi all,

When install MS Office (no matter 2000, 2003 or 2007), it prompts "Error
2755. The system cannot open the device or file specified.
C:\MSOCache\9..............2\PRO11.MSI"

I have checked the file did exist in the directory with Eveyone Full access.
All folders are set up Everyone Full from C:\.

Can anyone help to solve this?

Thanks

You don't say whether this is a re-installation or not.
Some OEM's (Original Equipment Manufacturers) install programs
from a different CD.
When you try to re-install, the system is looking for files that
may not exist on your copy.
Similarly, when efforts have been made to install other versions, the
registry becomes corrupt.
You need to clear all references to previous registry entries for ALL
Office programs.
Download Windows Installer Clean Up Utility
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
You can find this under More Information in the above link.
Use it to remove all registry references to Office and then
do a clean install from whatever installation CD you wish to use.
