First of all my computer started having mouse problems, either it
would't work, or was very slow/erratic. I found an article that was
recently posted at microsoft discussing the problem & how to fix.
I followed the article step by step, removing drivers, devices, and
registry values, then reinstalling new drivers. But, it only got
worse, my keyboard stopped functining, no USB ports worked, no mouse
(USB or PS2). Also, both System restore & Norton GoBack would not
function. After a lot of prodding, rebooting, and good luck the
keyboard function returned.
Rather than reinstall Windows, I reformatted my hard drive, then did a
clean intall. That went flawlessly. I then updated Windows XP Home
Edition.
The problem: Prior to reformatting I moved all my important data, and
files into the 2nd hard drive (slave), thinking I could just recopy
them back onto the main drive. Windows explorer doesn't show the 2nd
HD. It shows up in device manager, and in my BIOS.
Does anyone have a suggestion? I hate to lose all my data/files.
