Problem w/latest Windows Update

I have try to download the latest Windows update about 3
times but after downloading it, it does not installs it.
I appreciate your advice.

i think it just takes a long time. it took about 3 hours for me. i am not
sure if its normal but i think the size of the actual download is much
bigger than is shown.

Hello , i've had the same problem recently, all those
updates downloaded ok but fail to install, one of the
driver update for my video card crashed the computer and i
end up reformatting , i think they need to resolve this
problems, i beginning to think that the win 98 second
edition is a better platform,since i had nothing but
trouble with this win xp home edition....Help
