Problem w/Iomega CD/RW Device

I have an Iomega CD/DVD RW device which isn't
working with
XP Pro. According to Iomega it needs no driver or
program update to be used with Win XP. When I try
to make a copy or create a disc
it won't recognize my laptop's CD drive to put the
files on. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for the
help.

Laptop drives are not normally an IOmega drive. Most IOmega writing
software seems to only work with IOmega drive. You should list you
hardware config here since it seem that you are describing that you
have 2 drives (Laptop CD and IOmega DVD RW.) Is this correct?

Yes, that's correct. Evidently, Iomega hasn't put out any update
so that it will work with XP. I used to use it with my old Win09se
with no problem. I like the way it made copies, etc. Ended up
having to use Roxio software and the Iomega as an external R/W
drive. If you have any suggestions on how to make it work with
it's own software it would be appreciated.
