I am having a problem running Windows Explorer, My
Computer and the Control Panel. I also can't do a search
on files or folders. When I click on any of them, the
pointer changes to an hourglass then returns to normal.
The next thing you know, nothing has started up
and "Explorer.exe" has shot up to 99% CPU Usage according
Task Mgr. This problem just began one day and I have no
idea why. I can look at my system if I go through the
Start menu's Run command and browse, but that's about it.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I had a similar problem a few days ago. go on http://www.antivirus.com and
there's a free virus scan that you should (nay MUST) do. It's a trojan or 2.
Just let it do it's work. I recommend booting in safe mode and doing it as I
had 1 that was in use and couldn't be deleted unless I was in safe mode
(with networking). This should work
