W2K Shell Stops Upon Clicking on My Computer

W2K Shell stops momentarily when my computer or windows explorer are tried to
open. Also IE explorer will not start and control panel will not open.
Other programs like office and others work OK. Puzzled. Checked users and
groups and policies, can't pinpoint the problem.
