Can I re-install W2K?

In my W2K server, I am unable to open the Control Panel.
The screen goes blank and refreshes the desktop icons.
The
event log displays that shell stopped unexpectedly and
Exlporer.exe was restarted. Also noticed that my daily
scheduled jobs are not running for the last one week.

What could be the problem and remedy? Should I re-install
the W2K server (With update option). Will this damage my
other applications on the server?

Try this do a sfc /scannow
Some of your system files appear to be corrupted, this
will replace them. if not
try a repair install, rather than a reinstall, you might
need to reapply your service packs.

Reinstalling over the top of a broken system will likely result in a broken system.
