Problem upgrading XP home SP1 to SP2


As the update wizard is installing the new files it stops and says

ACCESS DENIED

gives no address or any other information and then proceeds to undo
all the process that it has already accomplished...

Can Anyone help me with this or direct me to the correct newsgroup to
ask this question???

Hi James,

Before you upgrade Windows XP Home Edition SP 1 to SP2, you need to
disable all Background Scanning processes, like your Anti-Virus Program,
Spyware Programs and any other process that is not Microsoft's.
