Question - is it possible to talk to a real person??? I'll pay!!!

I really mean this, I have been chasing system problems for weeks and
HP has helped a little bit but they would really rather sell me a new
laptop.

Thank You for all help offered..

.. and your problem is?

Jim:
There are some very nice & expert persons who respond to queries on this
newsgroup. As Mike infers why don't you state your problem and see if
someone can help you.

But when you do...

Please, provide as much detailed information about your problem(s).
1. State precisely what the problem is. Precisely!
2. Tell us about the hardware/software you're using that you think bears
upon the problem.
3. State how did the problem first arise.
4. What steps and/or research have you undertaken to resolve the problem?

Simply stated, be as clear and as detailed as you can re the background and
current situation concerning your problem.

Statements like "I can't boot to a desktop any more. What's the problem?",
or "Why isn't my HD recognized?", etc. are useless without additional
detailed info concerning the problem or issue.
