Problem Starting Up except in Safe Mode

The other day my computer locked up. After I shut it off,
and started it up again, Windows 2000 "fritzed" after
completing the "Starting Up" bar. The screen first became
gibberish/static (with some pattern though) then went
black and, apparently, locked up again. I can startup
successfully in safe mode, and safe mode with networking
but it won't start up in regular mode. Does anyone have
any suggestions? Any support articles I can read? All my
software still seems to work. It seems to be windows
itself that is freaking out.

Thanks

Check Event Viewer and Device Manager for errors and or non-starting
devices.
