Problem sending email

I am able to receive email, but unable to send. My ISP says the problem is
with Outlook and suggested I use Outlook Express. I prefer the Outlook
interface. Any suggestions, ideas?
 
What version of Outlook do you have? What happens when you try to send?
Do you get an error message? If so, what is the text of the message?
