problem scandisk invisible (dark screen) at xpe boot

how can i configure scandisk running visible after a system crash at reboot
In the moment in XPE the screen is dark for several minutes while scandisk in running at boot.
Only activity is the harddisk led. That is very annoying for the users, some users are even trying to reset the device, because they dont know whats going on. I want to get the same behaviour as in XPPro

Had someone success with running XPE in failsave mode, or is that disabled by desing

Remove /NOGUIBOOT switch from the boot.ini file.

Safe Mode is not officially supported on XPe.
