Problem ripping music to my MP3 player

John

Hi,

Can anyone help me please?

I have recently downloaded the above programme, and now I want to download
some of my WMA music flies on it to play on my 2 gig MP3 player. I am using
Windows XP

My Instruction book for the MP3 says "just copy and paste from MWP" but
there does not appear to be a facility to do this on WMP. I feel I am going
round in circles.

My next question, if we can sort the first one out, is, how can I download
other files such as MP3 files and iTunes files to my MP3 Player.

It would be a big help if anyone can supply some wisdom please.

Many thanks

John

No, not really.

What programme ? My crystal ball is HS ;-)

Two things : WMA are not the same as mp3's. They are both compressed files,
but one is MS the other generic.

Can your mp3 player also read WMA files ? Read the specs in the accompanying
booklet.

If it can't, then you need to transform the wma's into mp3's. For this you
need either Goldwave (small fee, easy t use, full of extra goodies -
normaliser etc) or a freeware - see this link for your choice :

Thanks Jerry,

Yes the MP3 instructions do state that it will download both WMA and MP3
files.

I have also just received some advice that the "SYNC" facility in WMP is a
form of "Interface" whereby music can be dropped into it and then from there
burned to my MP3. Is this correct?

The other matter regarding iTunes, I am still unsure of what format these
files are in.

Thanks for your help.

John.

(Ps sorry that my original message was repeated, and repeated...... had
problem sending to the site!)

Best wishes

John
