downloading music to my mp3

my mp3 player is not 'wma' format compatible
so when i try and download audio cds onto my mp3 player it wont recognise it
cos my windows media player automaticaly downloads in wma format
can windows media player be made to download files to my mp3 player in mp3
format. or is there any way xp can convert files from wma to mp3.
hope you can understand this new to computing thanks

Goldwave will convert from wma to mp3. Search with Google to find it.

RealPlayer 10.5 may be compatible with your player, and it will convert
non-protected WMA files to MP3 "on-the-fly". Still, it is always better to
re-rip the original CD, which will result in the highest quality.
