The client have the printer installed on his home network as a tcp/ip
printer on 10.0.0.100 and printing locally works great... I have also
installed the driver on the Terminal server under "print server
properties -> drivers"... The driver version i use is 60.034.41.00.. I test
installed a Laserjet 4m locally on the client and it shows up on the
terminal server when the client logs in.

The client is running windows XP and the server is 2003.

Does anybody have any ideas?

So the HP 2640 is not redirected at all?
Is there anything in the EventLog on the server?
Maybe a driver name mismatch?

No it doesnt seems to be redirected at all. I am using the same driver that
HP says to be working. The eventlog has no traces of the 2640..

What do you mean by "driver name mismatch"?

A driver name mismatch is when the name of the driver on the
client is something like:
"HP LaserJet 2300 Series" and on the server "HP LaserJet 2300".

These names are also case-sensitive, and the smallest mismatch
causes your printer to not be redirected.
BUT: if that's the case, you get an Event. That's why I asked for
Events. Documented here:

239088 - Windows 2000 Terminal Services Server Logs Events 1111,
1105, and 1106
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=239088

No printer Events at all mean printer redirection isn't attempted
at all.
Have you checked the port used on the client?

302361 - Printers That Use Ports That Do Not Begin With COM, LPT,
or USB Are Not Redirected in a Remote Desktop or Terminal Services
Session
