problem printing email

Our new computer has the vista operating system. we recently had a problem.
An update to mcafee security suite paralyzed printing and some other things.
we had to uninstall it etc. finally the computer works again but something
has made printing from Windows Mail impossible. The other user's hotmail is
unaffected as are Word etc.
But if I try and print an email Windows Mail freezes. To continue doing
email I have to restart the computer but I can go to the start screen and
open other programs. Does anyone have an idea what might have happened?
thanks
mary

As a test, uninstall McAfee, reboot, then try printing.
If that works, we can recommend a more compatible antivirus.

I Uninstalled the McAfee - then ran MCPR - . My Email is back to

Avast! is free and pretty good. Make sure you do a Custom install and don't
install email scanning; it adds no protection. http://www.avast.com

Thanks for having faith in following my suggestion.

I recommend the free Avast antivirus, but as always,
the email scanning function must be turned off.
