Problem "Premature close of IE6"

V

Vince

Why do I get the message
"Internet Explorer had encountered a problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. I then give
the option of Debug or Send Error Report or Don't Send.
I'm no technical gure and wouldn't know what to do in
Debug and I certainly have not had a response from MS on
my Error Report.
Thanks in advance for your assistance. Please provide a
solution or direct me to the documentation to correct this
annoying problem

First eliminate any scumware.
See
Dealing with Unwanted Spyware, Parasites, Toolbars and Search Engines
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.
CWShredder is also available here:

**Post your HijackThis log to
http://forums.spywareinfo.com/ or the Spyware forum at
http://forum.aumha.org/ for expert analysis, not here.**
Alternative download pages for Ad-Aware, Spybot, HijackThis and CWShredder
may be found on this page:
http://aumha.org/a/parasite.htm.
If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.

Thank you Frank for your response. I ran all your
recommended programs but ran into the problem of not being
knowledgeable enough to know what to delete without
creating more difficulty. Surely there is a more
intuitive method that can be run by a dumbell like me.
Thanks again
