Ie6 crash problem

Satoshi

Recently, I am having problems keeping IE6 on screen. After opening IE6
screen, I am getting one of two following errors after a few minutes
later:

a) Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are
sorry for the inconvenience.
----snip---
Debug, Send Error Report, Don't send.

or

b) The instrcution at "0 x YYYYYY" referenced memory at "0xYYYYYY". The
memory could not be written. Click on OK to terminate the program.

My operating system is WinXP/SP2. Your assistance would be appreciated.

Both of those messages can be caused by spyware.
What You Should Know About Spyware

CAUTION!!!!! Before you try to remove spyware using any of these programs ,
download a copy of LSPFIX from any of the following sites:
http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm
http://www.spychecker.com/program/winsockxpfix.html
(if your OS is Win2k or XP) The process of removing certain malware may kill
your internet connection. If this should occur, this program, LSPFIX, will
enable you to regain your connection.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
than just those two programs. CWShredder is also available here:

Yesterday, I cleaned using Ad-aware (Lavasoft), spybot and spy sweeper.
It still causes the same problem this morning. Any suggestion for other
anti-spy ware to remove this spyware?

Thanks. I will try to update those anti-spyware.
I will study CWShreder.

While processing Ad-aware, I noticed one putative spyware which could not be
removed. It was:

C;\Program files/Windows Taskad (containing Wintaskad.exe and WinSched.exe).
I removed anything to do with WinTaskAd from Registry but I could not remove
Windows Taskad folder. Adware picked them up but could not remove.
I am wondering whether Wintaskad and WinSched are causing the problem or
not. What do you think?

As said above, I could not figure out how to remove the whole Windows Taskad
folder. Could you please give me a trick how to do? TIA. Satoshi

Could be. Go to

and download "spy sweep"
