Problem... please help...

Scott

I could not find an answer on the microsoft web pages, and
I hope I have the correct newgroup. Any and all advice is
appriciated, and thankyou in advance.

The problem: I cannot access the add/remove portion of my
control panel.

I click "Start", "Settings", "Control Panel", and
finally "Add/Remove" programs.

Up pops the error message: "Wrong# of arguments or invalid
property assignment. res://sp3res.dll/default.hta line
84"

Again, any solutions are greatly appriciated. Thanks
again in advance.

Hi there

This is a long shot. Have you tried re-installing service
pack? Service pack re-installs windows system files and is
usually a very effective way of sorting out little
problems like these which may have been caused by some
system file being corrupted or otherwise, even if you have
already installed service packs.

hope this helps.

Hi, Scott.

Have you run the System File Checker? At the Run prompt, type: sfc
/scannow

SFC will compare each Win2K operating system file with the "known good" copy
held in your on-disk cache and replace any missing or damaged ones.

Please let us know if it works - or doesn't.
