Add/Remove Prgs.

Sean Wilson

When I go into Add/Remove Programs under the Control
Panel I get the message:

Wrong number of arguments or invalid property assignment
res://sp3res.dll/default.hta
Line: 84

When you click OK at this message the Add/Remove screen
pops up, but it is blank. Does anyone know how to fix
this?

Thanks,

Sean,

We have seen where this problem may be caused by the registry values added
by some spyware applications. I have seen it resolved by installing the
latest Ad-Aware spyware removal software and using it to remove all spyware.
Please be aware that this application is a 3rd party application and has not
been tested by, nor endorsed by Microsoft. You can search the Internet to
find other spyware removal applications availalble as well.

Hi

In addition to Ken's post:

From the "Run" box try

regsvr32 %windir%\system32\appwiz.cpl

and
regsvr32 %windir%\system32\webvw.dll

and
regsvr32 %windir%\system32\mshtml.dll

You might try to reinstall IE, the article above also tells you how to do that.

See tip 6032 at http://www.jsiinc.com/reghack.htm as well

If this doesn't help, try to reinstall the OS service pack you already have
installed (or install a newer one if possible).

If the problem persists, you'll could do an in-place upgrade of the OS and see
