Add/Remove Programs error

J

jakcommerc

Whenever I click on the Add/Remove Programs, i get this
message:

An unexpected error occurred.
Wrong # of arguments or invalid property assignment.
res://sp3res.dll/default.hta
line: 84

I click the "OK" box & the error disappears. I can then
remove programs.

What is this about, & how can I fix it?

Hi

From the "Run" box try

regsvr32 %windir%\system32\appwiz.cpl

and
regsvr32 %windir%\system32\webvw.dll

and
regsvr32 %windir%\system32\mshtml.dll

You might try to reinstall IE, the article above also tells you how to do that.

See tip 6032 at http://www.jsiinc.com/reghack.htm as well

If this doesn't help, try to reinstall the OS service pack you already have
installed (or install a newer one if possible).

If the problem persists, you'll could do an in-place upgrade of the OS and see
