problem persists after spyware removal

my problem is when I open something like My Documents, or something
similar...I am bombarded with 2 windows both stating that "web page
unavailable while offline", u know the one. Goes without saying that I have
to close boxes twice b4 I can get on with things. What I have also come to
realise is that this problen only happens after I have opened media player /
Media Library. Whether there is a relationship here or not I have no Idea.
I have run my spyware removal tools (in safe mode also), removed a bunch of
spyware. I disabled system restore etc etc... Is this now a registry issue?
Have run registry cleaners galore but nothing I do seems to help this petty
yet painfull issue...

HELP
ANYONE
PLEASE

Well it maybe a hi-jack of some sort? But I haven't got a clue?
Your correlation to Media player, you've scanned media files?
Or it could be streaming web radio? Or it could be a file
association - tries to connect looking for an update or codec?
You've said you've run spyware removal tools (spybot, adaware?)
As long as there were uptodate.
Try being online and then instigate the problem and see what
the web page is?

The problem turned out to be a security issue with msn messenger 6.2...I
Upgraded to messenger 7.0 which patched the issue, also had to reinstall IE
(which I dont even use), Installed spyware blaster, scanned for spyware all
over again with Ad Aware and Microsoft and havn't had a problem since. I'll
post this fix in case anyone has a simmilar issue. thanx ppl
