Problem obtaining access to a network printer

I have a desktop pc (XP Pro SP2) with 2 printers attached. 1 samsung ml-4500
and 1 lexmark X6150. For a couple of years i've had two other pc's on my
network which, once i've connected to the printers it prompted me to download
the drivers, to the network pc's, thusallowing me to print from all.

I have recently purchased a new laptop with Vista home premium. once i
found the printers on the network (wirelessly) i then clicked on the printer
so that i could print from the new laptop, it says its connecting for a
moment, then it comes up with a message saying "Windows cannot connect to the
printer. The printer driver is not compatible with a policy enabled on your
computer that blocks NT 4.0 drivers"
I have tried downloading the new driver from the web directly to the laptop,
but it is looking for the printer to be directly attached. It is not.

Is there anyone that could help ?

Did you try installing them as if they were local printers, then in Control
Panel, Printers, right clicking on the Printer Properties and changing them
to be network ones?
