Problem loggin in to a domain with on screen keyboard

C

ChunkyMonkey

Hi,

Using the touch screen on board keyboard to log in, it will not allow me to
log into a domain.

It says that instead of using ctrl-alt-del, press the security button on my
tablet.

Being a POS machine, it doesn't have a security button.

How can I log into a domain with a touch screen only machine ?

Under User Accounts in the control panel Select the Advanced tab and then
un-check the "Require Users to press Ctrl-Alt_Delete" cehck box.

I think this option appears for your user accounts if you are connected to a
domain.

I'm not sure if it is there when you aren't.

Alternativelty add or modify the following regsitry value

System Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]
Value Name: DisableCAD
Data Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value)
Value Data: (0 = Require Ctrl+Alt+Delete, 1 = Disable)

Sety the value to 1 and you 'should' get the logon prompt without requiring
Ctrl-Alt-Delete.

Hope this helps

Kevin
