Problem loading windows 97 on xp home computer

Gary

I have installed Office 97 on a stand alone computer
running Windows XP home edition. Everything works except
Access97. When I click on the Access.exe link, I receive
a message saying "Cant find the database you specified,
or you didn't specify a database at all. Specify a valid
database name in the command line and include a path if
necessary"

I have tried renaming Hatten.ttf and reinstalling, which
is about the only thing that I can find that even
remotely looks like this problem in the articles that I
have found. I am not running on a network, so there
should be no problem there. Any help would be appreciated

Are you sure that is Access.exe link?
The message you are providing is telling me that the icon on your desktop is
opening a particular database.
Right click the icon, go to the properties and check where it is pointing
to. Change if neccessary.
