Hi,

I hope you can help!

My Notebook came with Microsoft Office Home & Student 2007. This was a 90
day Trial package. This Notebook is Windows Vista Basic.

I have purchased Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 through an offer from my
employer.

I have attempted to load this disc on numerious occasions without success. I
have spoken to the manufactors of the notebook (Gateway) who informed that I
need to remove (Uninstall) Microsoft Office Home & Student 2007. I beleive I
removed this on - Start > Control Panell > Programs > Programs & Features.
Then turn the notebook off - Log on again & then insert the Microsoft Office
Enterprise 2007 disc.

I have now tried this without succes!

A colleague also purchased this Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 offer &
loaded it successfully. His computer was Windows XP.

Do you know if I am doing this right or/& know what I should do to install
Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007?

Regards

1. What happens when you try? If you get any error messages, quote them.

2. If you go to Control Panel>Programs and Features, do you see an entry for
the trial Office? If you do, highlight it and then click the Uninstall
button above. If there is no entry, then you removed it.

3. Does the optical drive read other CD/DVDs? Check.

4. Assuming the optical drive is working and the trial Office has been
uninstalled, put the new Office CD (making sure to use the one labeled
Setup if it there are multiple disks). Wait a moment and if the automatic
installation program doesn't start, go to Computer and look for the icon
for your optical drive. It should now be showing the name of the Office CD
and not just D:\DVD-RW (or whatever it normally is).

5. If the drive is showing the Office CD, right-click on it and choose Open.
Look for a Setup.exe and double-click it to start the installation.
