PROBLEM - Font size setting stability

Greetings and hallucinations!

Recently my font size has been resetting itself. I prefer it to be
smaller, yet IE6 seems to keep wanting to reset it to medium.

I have gone in thru the VIEW menu to TEXT SIZE and selected SMALLER.
That works until the next time I reboot. Then it is random as to
whether or not it will be smaller or medium, mostly it is medium.

This problem predated yesterday's install of SP2, which went without
a problem.

I have gone so far as to put the SIZE button on my IE6 tool bar, but
I hate having to change that when it should, and used to, keep my
text size preference.

Any ideas would be most appreciated, thanx!

Scott.

If IE-View-Text Size does not stick....

---solution 1
If you are using Eudora 4.2 or greater then use Tools-Options-Viewing
Mail and uncheck "Use Microsoft's viewer"
It is Eudora that is setting the IE text size and unchecking that
option will stop it.

The key that Eudora 4.x will change is this:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\International\Scripts\3]
"IEFontSize"=hex:02,00,00,00

---solution 2
In Outlook 2000 go to Tools/Options/Mail Format/Fonts/International
Fonts, and for each font
change the "Font Size" entry to your desired size.

Thanx for the solution!

Since this solution has me going into my mail program (Outlook 2003),
does this mean that Outlook has been hijacking my Internet Explorer
view settings?

Outlook is changing the text size, if that is what you mean by
hijacking.
Eudora can do the same.

In microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6.browser, Kiof

Perfect! That worked, thank you so much for your replies!
