Problem downloading

I have a problem downloading zip files. When I click on
something that is a zip file it is supposed to ask if i
want to open or save it right? Well my internet explorer
decides to automatically open it and doesn't let me
actually download it, is there a setting I can change to
stop this from happening. This only happens to zip files,
executable files and anything else still downloads
normally.
