i have accidently clicked the options when you download a file to where it no longer asks where i want to save files but automatically opens them after downloading them example a ZIP FILE i am no longer able to choose to save it somewhere, it automatically opens it once its downlaoded, and i wondereing if there is a way to set this back to the default of asking you to save or open file, i accidently clicked the open file and dont ask me again option

You set this for each file type, e.g. for .zip
Explorer-View-Folder Options-File Types
Find the .zip association (may be WinZip File)
Edit, (or click Advanced on ME or XP) and check the "Confirm open
after download" box

The path to Folder Options may vary according to your operating
system. It may be:
Explorer-View-Folder Options
Explorer-Tools-Folder Options
Start-Settings-Folder Options
Start-Settings-Control Panel-Folder options.
