Hi everyone!

My first posting here...

Recently installed Word 2002. Whenever I press Save As or Print, the frame
of the window starts blinking widly and no parts of it will respond to mouse
clicks. I have to click on the Word indicator on the Task Bar to get the
Print dialog box, or the Save As dialog box, to appear. Then I complete it,
click enter and the main window works like normal again. Anyone know what
gives?

You need to get an update from the Office site. See this article:

See “The Word title bar flashes or the Word program becomes unresponsive
when Word is runningâ€

Thanks Suzanne and Jay. Boy, you guys answer fast! I think maybe Jay's
solution is the right one for my problem, as I've just now noticed the
problem is sometimes there, sometimes not.

Note that if you do have Norton AntiVirus, it's just good policy to disable
the Office Plug-in, as it doesn't add anything and is constantly causing
problems (every new Office/Windows update seems to cause a new conflict).
