problem deleting a watermark

I have a DRAFT watermark on the last (blank) page of a Word 2002 document.
That page is a new section from the previous page. When I try to delete the
watermark (Format, Background, etc), the box says there is no watermark.
Deleting the section break doesn't fix the problem, because the text in the
previous section automatically then gets the watermark (which I still can't
delete through Format, Background, etc). Any ideas welcome!!!

In the appropriate section, View | Header and Footer. Click on the bookmark
and press Delete.
