Problem after reinstall

Hi,
I recently reinstalled XP Home Edition on my daughters PC. It appeared to
reload Okay, but I'm having some problem finishing off. A number of options
in Windows are greyed out. For example, I cannot change the Screen setting
from 640x480 Medium 16 bit or change the speaker volume as the sliders don't
work and other option buttons are greyed out. Any advise gratefully received.

You need to go to the computer manufacturer's web site and
download the latest drivers for your display and audio
adapters.

Good luck

You need to install the specific hardware drivers for your devices, i.e.
video, audio, modem, NIC, motherboard chipset.

Your video and sound card drivers are missing. XP has only installed generic
drivers to install windows. If you don't have the drivers for your video
card and sound on a recovery disk supplied by your pc manufacturer, check
the video and sound card manufacturer site for updated drivers and then
install them.
