Problem adding .mp3 file to slideshow (PP 2007)

Each time I attempt to add an .MP3 file to a slideshow (ANY slideshow),
PowerPoint stops responding and shuts down.

Any idea why this is happening?

Does this happen with only a particular MP3? Where did that MP3 come from?

You might try running diagnostics. Open PPT, go to Office Button | PPT
Options | Resources. Run Office Diagnostics. I don't think it will resolve
the issue, but it sure won't hurt to try.
