Problem accessing secure sites

W

Walter R.

I use Windows XP Pro SP2 and cable. All is working well, except:

I have about 10 websites that I need to access with a user name and password
(from web-email to bank accounts).

There are two of these websites where I established a user name and password
but they do not open for me. Instead, I get messages like "Could not be
authenticated", or "incorrect user name or password". I checked with the
webmaster at these sites and they had no trouble accessing my accounts,
using my username and password. We even changed usernames and passwords but
I cannot get into these accounts although the webmasters have not trouble,
using my codes.

It looks like the problem is in my computer. What could it possibly be??

Thanks for any help
