Problem accessing printer on network

E

Edward

I have a wireless network set up. I have the router
connected to the main computer and another wired directly
to the router and run a laptop computer with a wirless
network card. Main computer is running on XP , the other
two on 2000. All computers have the same work group and
individual names. All computers can connect to the
internet and send and receive e-mail. The problem I have
is using the printer connected to the main computer. I
have it selected for sharing, I run add printer, and
search for any network printer. The program locates it. I
select it, it then comes back "path not found" or "the
printer you have selected is either no longer connected to
the network or name of printer is incorrect". Neither is
true. Please help. The router I have is Netgear WGT 624

Edward,

Do all machine have their own username and password? are they different? If
so, does the main computer (XP box) have all the usernames added as local
users?
Since the printer is shared when you browse the main machine thru the
network, does it show the shared resource for the printer?
\\XPcomputername\ (type that in the run line and see if comes up).
