Problem accessing files from a server

I have a file out on the company server. We have upgraded from Office 2000 to XP using Windows 2000 for an operating system. Since the upgrade, I am unable to open the file off the server and make changes and resave it. I can only copy the file to my computer and make the changes. Does anyone else have this problem and how do I fix it?

It sounds like you have only Read permission but not Write permission on the
file(s) on the server.

Get your network admin to check your permission on the file server.

BTW, this newsgroup is for Microsoft Access, a database application, NOT
general computer access.
