probelm after update

Yesterday i have updated my XP Home edition from Microsoft web page.
unforunately after the update i could not start the system. i got a message
of system fatal error.c00002a
how to fix the problem

can you start in safe mode?

hit F8 right after the bios messages but before windows loads

if you can start in safe mode then uninstall that update
or use system restore
