Private or encrypted...help needed

I have noticed my personal files and most other files, I can't check private
or encryption box to hide them...Can someone give me any ideas why ? also how
I can get them to work? thanks

Before you try to do anything with the Encrypting File System (EFS) read the
following. Incorrect use of EFS could lead to the total loss of access to
your encrypted files.
