We have created a P.P Presentation with a dark background and white text - is
there a simple way to print this document with a white background and black
text - so we can save on the toner?

Are you using Master slides?

If so, go into View > Master > Slide Master
Select All for each slide
View > Color/Black & White
In your grayscale settings, set "reverse grayscale"

If you aren't using slide masters, you'll have to make this adjustment to
each of your slides.

Please let me know if this helps you out....

File, Print
In the print dialog box, choose Grayscale or Black and White

If your version of PPT has the Print Preview feature, try that first. Saves
trees.
