Printing with XP Pro (or actually not printing)

I have an HP Laserject 2200D and am unable to print
anything from any program. The troubleshooter doesn't
solve the problem. I can reinstall Windows XP and
documents will print for a day or less but then I starting
getting printing the same printing error message.
Rebooting and reopening programs do not solve this.

I am totally frustrated with XP.
