Printing slides in powerpoint

I'm printing a powerpoint display for a thesis. I want to print 2 slides per
page onto A4 in landscape. Each time I try powerpoint adds these slide
outlines on the page. Any idea how I can rid of these. I wouldn't mind so
much if they were centred on the A4 page but they're not.
