Printing Quota/Log

Alexandar

Hi PPL!

I have just installed a printer on the Windows 2000
Domain. I was wandering, in windows, is there a way to set
printing quota by user profile? Or log a record on how
much a user print?

Help is very much appreciated. Thank you.

Alex:

There are a number of ways to determine usage rates in your print
environment.

* Use the event viewer on the print server . You can run a win 2000/xp
resource kit tool (dumpel, etc) to get a listing of usage
* There is another free third-party tool obtainable from
http://www.karenware.com/powertools/powertools.asp

Good luck and let us know how things work out for you.

Thanks,
John.

Hi John!

I've tested the Karenware Power Tool. It is great!
However, it needs licenses if installed for company usage.
Thanks anyway. :)
