Printing Problem

I have windows xp and there are currently 5 users who
each have their own username. The problem that I'm
having, and I've attempted to find the answer for over 2
hours is...everyone except one user can get items to
print on our printer. Anytime my son attempts to print
anything, we get the printer icon briefly then it
disappears. The printer doesn't initiate a print or
anything. I've checked the printer properties and print
preferences and his are listed as the same as everyone
elses. He does not have administrative ability so I'm
reasonably sure he hasn't done something wrong by
mistake. If anyone can help me, I'd really be grateful!
Thanks

I have a similar situation in my home with 5 computers
networked and 3 printers in my office.

I had the same problem while tring to print to my hp 4600
color laser on one connection. Turned out the file that
was being printed was out of color range for the
printer... just a suggestion... try a different doc and
make sure it prints on other computers first.

If he's the only Limited User, and you have Norton Antivirus installed, this
is occasionally seen.... set his printer properties to print direct to the
printer instead of using the print spooler and see if that cures it.
