Printing problem (printer is working)....

PC at my workplace. User had a HP LJ 1000 installed
under LPT1. We replaced that printer with a HP LJ 5. We
then deleted the 1000 and added the LJ 5. When we do a
print, it prints to another location in the building, not
on the LJ 5. When we log in as Administrator, it prints
fine at the LJ 5! We added the user as an Administrator,
removed and re-added the printer under her account,
printed....then it still went to another location in the
building! It's not even a HP 5 that it goes to! Very,
very, very odd....

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

When you installed the printer did you select a Network printer or a Local
Printer?
 
Hi, I'm sure hoping you can help shed some light on this
for me! :-)

I selected it as local, LPT1....

Look for a batch file mapping the LPT port to a network
printer. Some on the older DOS programs we used to use
needed this mapping and the batch files were carried over
to the XP machine causing headaches for us.
