Printing Photos

When I try to print a photo using the photo printing wizard I keep getting an error report. I get to the layout section and it tells me the following error occured while the wizard was working with the picture named 14.jpeg: An internal error occured. Is there any other way to print my pictures? Thank you.

Does the error always point to...14.jpeg? Can you
print if you omit that file?

Have you tried opening your images in an image
editing program and printing from there?

Have you tried running disk cleanup to delete all
of your temp and temporary internet files?

Are you running a current Windows XP printer driver?

If the extension is actually...jpeg...and not...jpg...the
following instructions may be useul.

You may need to do some editing in your
registry...carefully read the following article
first before proceeding:

Information About Editing the Registry
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=256986#Topic2

====================================
".jpg extension may be incorrect in registry"

Go to...Start / Run...

Type in "regedit" (without the quotes)...OK.

In your registry editor...drill down to:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MIME\Database\Content Type\image/jpeg

What is entered at "Extension"? (should be: .jpg)
(don't change anything...just observe)

Also you might check:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MIME\Database\Content Type\image/pjpeg

What is entered at "Extension"? (should be: .jpg)

If the *Extensions* are incorrect, changing them to .jpg
should solve your problem.

To make the change...

Left click "Extension" to select it.

With "Extension" selected...go to...Edit / Modify...

Replace the text in the "Value data" field with
".jpg" (without the quotes)...OK.

Close the registry editor....File / Exit.
