I use the Photo printing wizard to print jpegs. Suddently yesterday is
stopped working properly and it doesn't print.
When I open the wizard it seems everything is working and I select the
picture then the Layout window is blank and when you click Next it says the
printing was successful but nothing comes out.

Try this, maybe it will restore the option:

Go to...Start / Run and type
(or copy/paste):

"REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL"
(without the quotes)(Yes, there's
a space between 2 and S)

Click...OK.

A dialog box should report the following:

"DllRegisterServer in SHIMGVW.DLL succeeded"

Thanks John.
Before I posted I did some research and one of the possible solutions was
your post from 2 months ago (Aug. 07 - Georgia Lady - Photo Printer Wizard
Gone) regarding the Wizard not working. I tried both commands but they
didn't work.
Any other idea?

When you run the commands do you receive
the correct dialog?

Did you try this one?

Try the following command to
force a reinstall.

Go to...Start / Run and type
(or copy/paste):

regsvr32 /i shimgvw.dll
(yes, the space after the 2 and the space
after the i is required)

Press...Enter...

You should see a dialog box that says:
DllRegisterServer and DllInstall in shimgvw.dll succeeded

Dear John,
I get the correct dialogs from the command.
I also tried all the options you gave and the problem is still the same.
What else can be done?
Is there a way to "reinstall" the print module?

Sorry, I don't have a solution.

Did you install / uninstall or update anything
that could have caused the issue?

I wonder if it would help if you did a System
Restore to a time before the issue began.

I have a similar problem. When I use the printing wizard, I used to get the
option in the Layout section to print full page, 4x6, 5x7 etc but now all I
can do is print full page fax or photo, nothing smaller.

I too tried what was suggested here and no change. Did you happen to find a
fix for your problem?

thanks,

~Tony
