Printing individual email pages in Outlook 2003

I found this BUG when I had to print an email with RMA instructions/return
address and run to FedEx. The info I needed was on page 1, but there were 2
more pages of stuff I had no need to print.

I am trying to print only the first page of my email as I have to update my
assigment tracking to include a hard copy of the email responses in the
report file. Some emails are pages long and I end up throwing away tons of
paper when I only need the first page of each response. You are right. This
IS unacceptable that such a popular program cannot perform such a standard
print function.

It took me 2 hours to find this solution..... Think I'll go back to
Yahoooooooo. Who needs this complexity. I'm one of the AVERAGE users.....
I'll take the "piece of cake". Bye Bye Outlook express.

If all you need is mail, Outlook Express is often a message choice than
Outlook.

Oh, and Outlook Express WILL print just the first page.

That should read "better choice". I disconnected the link from by brain to
my hands earlier today and I must not have plugged it back in correctly.

I got so excited when I ready your solution but alas, doesn't work for
me....how come? Can someone please help me???

It is ridiculous - I print out so many unneccesary pages I'm starting to
feel guilty about all the trees they will have to cut down to keep me in
supply!

Double click the email in question to open in its own window, Select Edit
Message from the Edit menu, then HTML from the Format menu.

The message will convert to HTML format and you can then print out specific
pages as required.

At least, MS fix this please. stop wasting paper.

you can't.... at least not from outlook. You can save it as a doc and print
from word or print to document imaging and then print only a specific page
from the image.

I see this problem doesn't look like it has been fixed. We now have Outlook
2007 and we still cannot print just one page, but I have the same at home and
can print a single page on my brother printer??? This is madness - has anyone
any new ideas on this problem and has MS issued an explanation?

In Outlook 2007, open the message and do Other actions-Open in Browser.
As long as the message is not in Plain Text you can then choose as many
or as few pages to print.

You have outlook 2007 at home and it lets you select the pages? Check the
version # in help about and verify they are the same exact versions. It will
be fixed in the upcoming SP2 release - I'm not sure when that will be but
they may release updates prior to the full SP2 release that include this
fix. This could explain why it works on one system and not the other.

Otherwise, see http://www.slipstick.com/mail1/print.asp for workarounds.
