printing gobbledy-gook! help!

Have HP Deskjet 682C that was printing fine just
yesterday. Today all-of-a-sudden it's printing pages of
heiroglyphics. Husband thinks there's problem
w/connection between windows and printer. How do we fix
this??????

First thing to do is run a full antivirus scan with updated signature files.

Second thing to try is a full uninstall and reinstall of the printer using
the following method:

The most recent drivers are included with XP so use the Add Printer Wizard
to install the printer after the reboot.
